:: COMPETITION DESCRIPTION ::
The Ki Hajar STEM competition focuses on innovation in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. The competition aims to generate sustainable solutions to real-world issues, such as climate change and energy.
:: PROJECT ::
Utilization of Biomass Energy for the Manufacturing of Automatic Mosquito Repellent Essential Oils
(ESOTONIK)
ESOTONICS Project:
The goal of this project is to create an automated device that uses biomass energy to produce essential oils from citronella and mint leaves. These essential oils are used as natural mosquito repellents that are safe for people and the environment. The device sprays the oil solution automatically at certain intervals to keep things running smoothly.
Automation System Design:
I helped design an automation system that controls the spraying of essential oil solution using a timer IC applied to a DC motor. This tool works by using an automated system that replaces human power with machine power, so there's no need for human supervision.
Research and Development:
The goal of this project is to create an automated device that uses biomass energy to produce essential oils from citronella and mint leaves. These essential oils are used as natural mosquito repellents that are safe for people and the environment. The device is designed to spray the oil solution automatically at certain intervals to maintain efficiency.
Presentation and Implementation:
I gave a presentation on the project to the jury, explaining how it uses automated technology and biomass energy to reduce reliance on chemical insecticides, which have a negative impact on the environment.
:: ACHIEVEMENTS ::
I also became a national finalist in the Ki Hajar STEM 2024 Competition.
We ranked first in Banten province in the Ki Hajar STEM 2024 Competition at the advanced stage and passed the final stage (certified by the Ministry of Education and Culture).
The ESOTONIK project was recognized for its innovation in using renewable energy and automated technology to address environmental and health concerns.
Improved my skills in research, technology development, and scientific presentation in front of the competition judges.
