:: PROJECT DESCRIPTION ::
This is a solar power bank project that stores energy from the sun to charge electronic devices, such as mobile phones. The system uses solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity, which is then stored in batteries. It is also equipped with a charging module that allows portable devices to be recharged.
:: FUNCTIONS ::
Creating an environmentally friendly and portable charging solution by utilizing renewable energy.
Develop an understanding of solar power systems, energy storage systems, and charging modules.
:: COMPONENTS USED ::
Solar Panels: It is used to capture and convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity.
Baterai Lithium-Ion 18650: As a store of energy generated by solar panels, to store backup power.
Modul Power Bank 134N3P Charger Baterai 18650 Step Up with Protection - Micro USB: This module is used to charge and protect 18650 batteries, while providing a stable power output for charging devices via USB ports.
Switch: A manual switch that users use to turn on or off the flow of power from the power bank to the charged device, making it easier to control power usage.
:: SCHEMATIC ::
Description:
The solar panel charges the battery through the charger module (TP4056).
The battery stores energy, which is then passed through the switch.
Once the switch is activated, electricity from the battery is fed to the power bank/boost converter module which then outputs power to the device being charged via the USB port.
:: RESULTS ::
This solar power bank is capable of storing energy and has a stable 5V power output thanks to its 134N3P modules. The switch effectively turns the power flow on and off as needed.
The system works effectively when paired with solar panels that generate enough power during the day to fully charge the batteries.
